Moving follows Trauma's meditation on a life threatening accident, but expands its focus and materials. By using household objects in conjunction with kinetic parts and sound elements, these new projects ask questions about passing, nostalgia, sentimentality, movement, and displacement.
When installed, the pieces Crux and Cycle play music and move. Crux, the piece with the record player and pair of shoes, played music by Townes Van Zandt. Van Zandt is regard as having written "poetic, often heroically sad songs". Cycle takes a common and mundane movement and repeats it. The piece becomes hypnotizing and its movement, haunting.
